Finger operation areas

The basic principle of touch-typing is that each finger has its own operation area.

Left hand

Little finger - ` 1 2 q a z

Ring finger - 3 w s x

Middle finger - 4 e d c

Index finger - 5 6 r t f g v b

Right hand

Little finger - = \ p [ ] ; ' /

Ring finger - 0 o l .

Middle finger - 9 I k ,

Index finger - 8 7 u i j k n m

The thumbs are used only for the Space bar.

Rule for thumbs:

If the previous key is pressed by a right hand finger the Space bar should be pressed by the left hand thumb, and vice versa.
